Welcome to the "Hopes & Plans" link up! Any hopeful or goal-oriented post is welcome! It can be your life's dreams, aspirations, monthly goals or simply your chore list. Share with us! I hope for this to be a place where we can come to be inspired and motivated by the things other people have in the works. The possibilities are endless! Most things in life begin by first having a hope and then some kind of plan.
Before we get into the first edition of the "monthly hopes & plans" lets take a look at how I did last week...
|| Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Check! This place never disappoints. This time we were even able to see goats on the drive down!! That has never happened before. :)
|| Walk on our new treadmill at least three days this week. Haaaaa! I exercised by walking to and from my refrigerator. That's about it.
|| Enjoy Thanksgiving with family! Oh yeah!
This truly is the most wonderful time of year! I, fortunately live in a place where I am damn near guaranteed a white Christmas! We just got our first real snow fall over the weekend and suffice it to say we are feeling quite festive! You'll notice that my December goals primarily revolve around Christmas, with a little home improvement and outdoor activity sprinkled into the mix.
Here we go!
one || Christmas card photos MUST be taken this week!Spoiler alert:: we are going with an "ugly Christmas sweater" theme! Eeeeek!
two || Said Christmas cards need to be mailed out between the 10th and 15th of this month.
(If you would like one, email me! It's just not Christmas time without a boat load of Christmas cards...)
three || Knock out a few of the things on Little Woody's "must have" list. (OMG! Still can't believe I'm going to be having a BOY!) We did a pretty good job buying gender neutral baby gear, but...the man needs clothes and mama needs a high quality baby carrier.
four || Finish allllllll of our painting projects. (Trim, doors, window seat, etc..) They are finally manageable and we can nearly see the light at the end of the tunnel.
five || Start our own traditions. This year marks the first Christmas we will be on our own 100%! Kyle and I have a few traditions that we started way back when we first started dating and a few from last year when we were semi alone...but that's about it. We are excited to carry on some of our family favorites and also to begin some new ones of our own! :)
six || Hike more. Very soon this growing belly of mine will blow the whistle on many snowy/icy/slippery outdoor activities. I've got to really soak this up while I can.
seven || Worry less. I want to allow this month to truly be the most joyous time of year and not let petty things get in the way of that.
